The Bird Family

8.21.2007 • in the early afternoon

I was reading up on some blogs at lunchtime today, and read Joelle’s post over at Tenth Muse, about a show she had watched on penguins and how they feed their young by basically barfing up food into their mouths and I was instantly reminded of one of my all time favorite skits from Saturday Night Live - The Bird Family.  Have you ever seen this skit?  OMG you have to!  Can you imagine having to be a part of this one?  I could not have done it!!!

The Bird Family

I used to do that for Ethan when he was a baby.  He didn’t like baby food, and he needed to start eating solids so I would just chew it up for him and then feed it to him.

OMG! My husband and I were watching it live that night and I swear I about peed my pants. The best SNL ever.

Oh.my.gosh! That was hilarious! Wrong, but hilarious! There is no way I could do that…..well I could have been the one that chewed the food but not the one on the receiving end.  LOL!
