Well, the 5th piece of land to build our home on has fallen through. The last four all fell through because we could not get the land to perk for a septic system. This one didn't need a septic system because there were city utilities, but after 2 months of negotiating prices with the owner, we finally agreed, just to have the lawyer come back after the title search and say that the guy owed about 4 years of back taxes. Then the guy wants to be shitty about it? He wants to up the price of the land to cover the taxes that he never mentioned. I said forget it! This is a sign that I am not supposed to move from the beach to the country.
