Our conversation in the car on the way home tonight:

KAIDEN:
Mommy, why is it raining so hard?

ME:
It’s a Tropical Storm honey.

KAIDEN:
What is a Tropical Storm, is that like a Hurricane?

ME:
Yeah, Tropical Storms have heavier winds and can turn into Hurricanes. Those are the kinds of storms that do a lot of damage and make trees fall down and stuff.

ASHTON:
NO MOMMY! Rain makes trees grow, NOT FALL DOWN!

ME:
I know Ashton, rain does make trees grow, but when storms are bad, trees can fall down.

ASHTON:
NO MOMMY, YOU ARE WRONG! Rain makes trees grow. DANGIT, do I have to be the only one in this car to know everything around here? Don’t talk to me about this anymore MOMMY! I just can’t take it anymore!

Nothing beats being put in your place and basically being told to shut up and that you are stupid by a four year old!!!
