In my last post, Judy left the following comment regarding the poop incident at the Eckerds - “That is just bizarre. Also, bizarre is that you still have an Eckerds?” - Yes, we do and they seem to still be going strong, as the one I was in yesterday was just built! This got me wondering what different store chains are in your neck of the woods. Here is what is in mine:

Grocery Stores:
Farm Fresh
Food Lion (the store with the roar - HA!)
Harris Teeters
Kroger
Fresh Market
Whole Foods Market (coming soon)

Drug Stores:
Eckerd
Walgreens
Rite-Aid
Revco

All-In-One Stores (Or Whatever They Are Called):

Posted by Keri on 2007-06-18 11:53:03 Revco?? those have been gone for ever here, they became Eckerds, which then became CVS. We also don't have K-Mart. Food Lion is also gone, they lasted less than a year here, and I've never seen a Rite-Aid. What the hell is a WaWa?? I just noticed you wanted to know what we HAVE...I don't follow directions well, but I do play well with others:P

Grocery: Homeland, Reasors, Albertson's Drug Stores: May's, Med-X, Walgreen, Drug Warehouse All in one: Mainly Walmart and Target, one or two K-Marts Convenience Stores: QuikTrip is the major one around here, we also have the very sexually sounding E-Z Mart and the Kum & Go :)

Posted by Cindy on 2007-06-13 13:34:09 PS I used to shop at Farm Fresh when I first moved to VA. It always freaked me out that FF employees would ask me if I needed help. I always said no but I was tempted to give them half my list.

Oh, and some employee just bought out the Albertson's and named them all Rowe's or something? Drug Stores: CVS (which bought out all of Florida's Eckerds) and a Walgreens on every corner. Supercenters: Target, Supertarget, The Wally's and a few old, old BigK's. Convenience Stores: I'm not sure, but I think one is called eight till late or something. Most everyone goes to the gas station convenience stores, Texaco, Gate, BP, and Shell.

Posted by Toryssa on 2007-06-12 18:15:21 Girrrl. I have NONE of those. We have 2 grocery stores (Wallace & Owens and Town & Country) which are both locally owned chains. And one Convenience store ... Rhodes, although there are several family owned businesses of the same type, but they're SMALL. Ohhhh and one Super Walmart which is where everyone goes to get everything. Anything else ??? Your gonna have to take an hour or longer roadtrip. Small towns kinda suck.
