Tomorrow Is Bubonic Plague

So Friday I had some type of flu bug that gave me a fever, chills, aches and pains and throwing up. Today? Today I cannot stop coughing and my nose is trying out to be the next Niagara Falls. So I can only guess that tomorrow I will contract the bubonic plague - because that is my luck! I am scheduled to fly to Vegas on Sunday with pals to meet all my blogging buddies and I am getting sicker by the minute.

I spent my lunch hour in Rite Aid today buying anything and everything that contained even trace amounts of Zinc and/or Vitamin C. I would stand in a tub and lather myself in the stuff if it would help! I need to be well by 9:00 Sunday morning…PERIOD! This is not wishful thinking… this is a MUST HAPPEN type deal! Damn you black cloud! DAMN YOU!

All About Dolphins!

Dolphin Project

Guess who has her very first “research project” due for school?  Each student had to pick an animal and research it.  We have to make a project cube and each side has to have specific information about the animal.  Kaiden chose dolphins.  We spent a good amount of time this weekend reading about dolphins and watching documentaries about dolphins, then we did her write-ups.  Her cube cannot be anymore than 8” around.  So we wrote on regular paper in pencil, giving her plenty of room, then traced it in marker, so it stood out and now we are scanning and shrinking them to hot-glue them to the sides of her cube.  It is not due until the 18th, but I am leaving for Vegas next weekend, so we need to go ahead and get this done!  In case you need to know about dolphins, here you go:

Feeling Better and EE 2.0

I am definitely feeling better today.  I am not quite sure what the hell I had, but I am glad it is on it’s way out the damn door.  It is almost like it was food poisoning or something.  I was supposed to bowl in a charity “bowl-a-thon” today, but was not feeling up to it, so I made Todd bowl with Kaiden in it and I watched.  I did go with Todd and see an early movie tonight - Semi Pro, which I liked, but I am a huge Will Ferrell fan.  I need to go into work tomorrow to get some stuff done that I really needed to get done on Friday before my hurl-fest started, so that sucks, but oh well.

Now onto some exciting news - and by exciting I mean exciting if you are a closet web geek kind of exciting.  Stuff is popping up all over the internet today about Expression Engine 2.0 and I am getting super dooper excited about it.  There are official screenshots here.  And a forum thread here.  And Flickr photos here.  And Lions and Tigers and Bears - OH MY!  This is by far the BEST thing that I read tonight about it:

1.6.x to 2.0 is “definitely an upgrade and not a transition”

I know that his means nothing to about 99.6% of you, but for the other .4% - don’t you feel like holding hands and singing Kumbaya?  Okay, I am done with my geeky rant. :nerd: I might still actually be sick…very very sick!
