We are going out of town in the morning for my cousin’s wedding in NC, so I went ahead and got my grocery shopping done for the week tonight.  Living the dream people! Living the dream!

Hope everyone has a great Five Jars of Mayo Day.  I plan on having a beer after work today - but not because it is Cinco de Mayo… I plan on having that beer just because there are beers in my fridge (Non-Mexican Michelob Ultra Lights) and dammit I feel like drinking one.  So there.  Take that Mexican holiday that people feel the need to celebrate in the US and that makes the people of Corona and Cuervo a little bit richer.  Yeah, take that.

*Note: If you are Mexican and legitimately celebrate the 5th of May and are reading this, I hope you have a great Cinco de Mayo.  For realsies.

So, what do you do when there is a Tornado Warning, followed by a horrendous thunder and lighting storm? 

I’ll tell you what you do… If you have kids… like me, you take advantage of the situation and make them turn off all the TV’s and lights and sit Indian style in the middle of the floor in complete silence, then yell “OMG I hear the tornado” and take off running leaving them scared out of their minds. Sometimes having kids is the greatest thing in this world.  One of these days, they are truly going to look back and appreciate their mom’s sense of humor, or they will end up in Mental Institutions with nervous ticks.  Either way, I am helping them build great memories.
