I have a wicker couch on my front porch.  It needed new cushions, so I picked these gems up on sale at Pier1 Imports.  I really am not fond of the orange color, but Dena is and she will be the one using it with me, plus they were on sale!  So orange it is!

Dear Smizzo & Friglet,

Lately it has come to our (our = Misty & Monica) attention that you have been a couple of slack asses when it comes to updating your blogs and keeping us in the loop regarding what is going on in your lives.  Smizzo, we will admit, you have been better than Friglet, but seriously, a step above shit… well, it still smells like shit.  We have been in this thing for too long for you two to start getting all lazy on us.  I mean we are talking YEARS now.  We have

followed you through all your domain changes, we have shared WAY TOO MUCH TMI type information with you two, We have flown across the U.S. to meet you.  In a nutshell, we have invested quite a bit into this relationship we have, for you two to go and f*ck it all up.

Get off your asses and post.  Friglet - you owe us some information, get on it.  I think we can make it through this rough patch if you two start pulling your weight in this friendship.  I hope we don’t have to have this discussion again, or SO HELP US.

My sister and I have this long running inside joke that makes us laugh like hyenas every time there is ice on the ground.  When we were younger and it would snow/sleet, we could ALWAYS expect a call from our mother warning us about Black Ice.  And when she felt like we were not taking her warning seriously enough, she would break out into statistics and end it by letting us know “It is the Silent Killer you know!!!” - it was at that point that we would break out laughing, and say “Okay Okay MOM!” then hang up and immediately race to see who could call who first and in a hushed serial killer type voice say “The Silent Killer is going to get you!!!!!!”  We would both break out laughing and say - “DAMN, I was going to try and get you first - did Mom call you too?”

We still do this.  So imagine my delight when I looked out this morning and saw the roads all iced over.  I could not wait to get out and take a photo to text to my sister with the caption “Silent Killer is on the prowl in VA this morning!!!”  Her response: “LOL - I was just telling someone yesterday about the warnings I get when The Silent Killer is out ”

I miss my sister.
