After slipping, falling and hitting his head really hard on the concrete floor, when I picked him up yesterday - then spending twenty minutes at the school crying and with me holding an icepack on his head.

ASHTON:
Mommy can I please lay down in my bed when we get home and watch Transformers?

ME:
I would rather you not lay down for a while buddy, you hit your head pretty hard, so you should not lay down for a bit.

ASHTON: (yelling at me)
OH MOM, I do not have a conjunction!  I AM NOT GOING TO DIE TONIGHT!  ALRIGHT?!? Can you please just let me lay down and watch my Transformers movie?

ME:
Well in that case SON, by all means… lay down and watch your movie!  Oh and by the way ASHTON… it’s concussion, not conjunction!!!

ASHTON:
Who cares, can I watch Transformers or what?

This has been my view all day today.  It has rained ALL DAY LONG.  I am so over it.  We have been trapped in the house too long.  We watched Marley and Me (I cried like a baby).  I stripped all the beds and washed the sheets.  We grilled marinated shish kabobs inside on the Foreman grill and had them with rice.  They were delicious.  Now I am full and watching the rain still fall, it is making me tired, so I will be loving laying in my clean sheets in a little while.
