I thought that I would share some photos from our eventful 4th of July weekend. I don’t have much else to talk about today….EXCEPT, did you hear about Angelina Jolie adopting the orphaned Ethiopian baby girl? Hmmmm, funny, Brad Pitt just did his Primetime Live interview from Africa…I wonder if that coincides with the date that the adoption process started? Sounds fishy to me! Oh well, onto the photos (please excuse all the tattoos, we are hoodlums)...

The day is not complete without Kaiden pouting about something. I believe here, she was mad that she could not go to the deep end of the pool! Look at those ears!
My hubby and Ashton with our friend Cliff. Cliff and Todd have been best friends since forever. He was the best man at our wedding. He is also our source for tattoos.
Here is Kaiden with my great new neighbor Daphne and my other great new neighbor Mary (whose house we are at). Daphne was Kaiden’s designated fireworks ear-coverer for the evening.
Kaiden and Daphne’s husband Jimmy. Kaiden loves Jimmy! She could play with him all day and all night (I’m pretty sure Jimmy is fond of her too)!
Well, that is a glimpse of our holiday weekend. It was non-stop the whole time! Kaiden was so worn out Monday night that she was passing out in the middle of the big fireworks show that the V.B. Oeanfront put on. This was confirmed later that night when she woke up and vomitted all over her bedroom. The next morning when I went to wake her up she said:
KAIDEN: Mommy, aren’t you so proud of me? I slept the whole night like a big girl!
ME: Ummm, no you didn’t… don’t you remember throwing up all over your carpet and in the bathroom? You were sick.
KAIDEN: I WAS NOT SICK MOMMY! You let me eat too much junk food and drink too much sprite. That doesn’t count! I am a good girl and I slept good.
Anyone need a babysitter? I, apparently, am very good with kids!

Okay, the pants I am wearing today have a zipper that has a mind of its own. I am usually pretty good about checking it periodically to make sure it is still behaving, but with me being home with Ashton all last week, I have been swamped this morning.
Well, low and behold, I finally had a chance to pee and I was able to do so a bit quicker, since I did not need to take the extra time to unzip! DAMN, I HATE WHEN SHIT LIKE THAT HAPPENS!
So you sit there on the ole’ potty thinking, “Shit, how long have I been walking around with my grey and yellow bumble bee underwear hanging out?” and “Who has not bothered to tell me?” I have taken a poll of the employees around the office and they all swear they had not noticed and would have proceeded to laugh and point if they had. I am hoping that is the case! Now, back to work!

I have noticed that quite a few of the bloggers I enjoy reading are from Virginia. So I made a cute little button so that we can spot each other. Its based on the oh so famous Virginia is for Lovers slogan. So, right click on it and save it so you can put it up on your site. I could probably start a ring or something, but that just seems like work!
