01. NIKON D70 SLR DIGITAL CAMERA
My husband and his mother bought me this camera last Christmas and it was the biggest surprise, because I had already had a really wonderful Christmas, so I was totally not expecting it.  I cried like a baby when I got it.

02. NIKON N80 SLR FILM CAMERA
I received this camera three X-Mas’s ago.  I had been drooling over a NIKON camera forever, and Todd and his mother bought me this one.  I love it and it takes beautiful pictures.

03. DIAMOND STUD EARRINGS
Todd surprised me last Christmas with diamond earrings.  I had not asked for any, so it was a complete shocker when I opened them.

04. ANTIQUE FLOOR MIRROR MADE FROM AN OLD PORCH DOOR
I had been eyeing this mirror forever at my favorite Primitive store.  Everytime I would go to buy it, I would say “I better not, Todd will kill me.”  When I finally decided to say “Screw It” and go buy it, it had a SOLD sticker on it when I got there…I cried when I got in the car and cursed myself the whole way home for not buying it sooner.  A couple weeks later, while at my mom’s for Christmas, when we were all done opening presents, my mom said “I think there is one more gift out in the garage” - it was the mirror.  She was the one that had bought it.  It completely floored me!

05. IPOD MINI
On top of the new Nikon Digital Camera and the diamond earrings last year, Todd got me my IPOD Mini - that man was totally a saint last year at Christmas time.  Of course, he uses the IPOD as much as I do.

06. MY FIRST CAR
When I turned 16, my parents bought me a little red Nissan Sentra.  This was the best gift, because it was the gift of FREEDOM!  It was a stick shift, so I had to learn how to drive a stick, but man, there were a lot of memories in that car!

07. KINGS DOWN PILLOW-TOP BED
Todd and I’s wedding gift from my parents was the most comfortable bed ever made.  It was a king-sized, Kings Down, pillow top bed set.  It has made many a morning very hard to wake up!!!

08. BABY FURNITURE
Todd’s mother paid for half of Kaiden’s bedroom set and paid for ALL of Ashton’s bedroom set, including the crib.  They were such nice gifts and my kids are damn lucky to have such nice furniture in their rooms!

09. MY ENGAGEMENT RING
My engagement ring is gorgeous and is an antique family heirloom.  It was my Great-Grandmother’s ring, which was left to my Grandmother, which was given to my Mother, who gave it to me.  I was in love with this ring the first time I ever laid eyes on it.  It is white gold, with a 1.25 ct, miner’s cut diamond with daisies etched into the gold on both sides of the diamond.  I had to get it cut off after Ashton was born due to swelling fingers, and will have it fixed when I lose weight.

10. MONEY
Who does not like getting money as a gift?  I have gotten money from my parents as gifts, from Todd’s mom as gifts, from old bosses as gifts - it was all appreciated and spent quickly!

What are the best gifts you have ever gotten?

Weekly Roundup 10/02/05-10/08/05

I am so ready for the rain and humidity to stop and for some nice crisp fall weather!  This week, we traded in the Expedition, for a smaller, sleeker “Urban SUV” - the Nissan Murano.  We did some clothes shopping to try and get everyone ready for the colder weather.  Now I have to fight with Kaiden, because she wants to wear all the new clothes now, and it just is not cold enough yet.

We attempted to go to the movies and see Wallace and Grommit, but the stupid movie was broken, so we’ll have to attempt that again another time.  Kaiden had a birthday party to go to on Sunday for her friend at school, Koby.  The kids had a good time.  Ashton had some kind of tummy flu this past weekend, that included projectile vomiting all over himself at the mall - good times!!!

We are now gearing up for little Miss Kaiden’s Birthday!!!

On the Calendar for Next Week:
10/10/05 - Columbus Day.
10/15/05 - Kaiden’s Birthday Cookout Bonanza!
10/16/05 - Kaiden’s Birthday

Saturday’s Sundries-09/08/05

I did go ahead and trade in my truck for the Nissan Murano in the beautiful shade of “Glacier Pearl.”  It drives really nice and screw it, it’s something new for a year, and then I’ll most likely trade it in again!

The aforementioned Nissan had some lovely high profile tires and rims on it, to spruce it up on the lot.  I DID NOT want these tires on the truck, but was forced to drive with them all week, until the dealer had time to switch them out.  For one week, I was totally blingin’ baby!!!

We took a family trip to the mall to buy everyone some much needed fall/winter clothes.  Ashton decided to puke all over himself, sending Todd and I into a dry-heaving, gagging fury!  We had to strip him down and I had to carry him through the mall in nothing but a diaper, while eveyone looked and pointed at us like we were so trashy, that we would actually bring our son to the mall in nothing but a diaper.

I bought my son the Halloween Spongebob DVD, since he LOVES Spongebob SO MUCH!  We have since watched it 16 times.

My daughter turns 4 next Sunday.  I have yet to plan a single thing for the poor child’s birthday.

I WANT A MAID!  AND I WANT THAT MAID TO DO LAUNDRY!!!
